March Madness!!

It is that time of year again.  Tomorrow starts up the first round of the NCAA Tournament, and I am very excited.  The thing that kind of stinks this year is that I will probably not be able to watch the games tomorrow because I have to work.  In the past this hasn’t been a problem because I am usually on spring break during the first round and I can watch the games, or I don’t care because I am doing something better.  This year though we had spring break last week and I will be at work tomorrow, but on the plus side I will be off Friday for Good Friday.

An option that is available this year is to watch the games online.  CBS is going to stream all the games live so you can watch from any computer with an internet connection, unless you work for a school and they have blocked the site so kids aren’t watching basketball during class.  Also there is a small network concern, but we might just have to sacrifice that online test so I can watch watch Kent State take on UNLV tomorrow, just kidding.  Anyways good luck with your brackets.  I have all the number 1 seeds making it to the Final Four with UCLA winning it all, that is unless they get knocked out in the second round by my Aggies. NBC Direct = FAIL!!

So I am at home for Spring Break, I know real exciting. Being home is great and getting to see the family is great (my niece is getting so big), but at my own home I have a TV in my room and I have gotten quite used to it. However, there is not one in my room here. So, I decided to give the new NBC Direct service a try. It promised to give me all the shows I can watch on NBC, but on my computer for free. Sounds like a good deal.

It is not!

Ukulele Awesomeness

I have been meaning to write this for some time, so now that I am visiting my parents and have nothing to do I might as well write it up. A few weeks ago I was watching Conan O’Brien and saw one of the most amazing musicians I have ever seen. Jake Shimabukuro is a ukulele player from Hawaii (makes sense). I have never even payed attention to the ukulele before, in fact I am having a real hard time remembering how to spell it, but this guy was amazing. I am having a hard time finding the video from Conan, but here is another video that I found.

I liked the performance on Conan better but this is still really impressive.
